Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, I have coding experience from working on previous projects.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

This is my first time creating an app with this kind of project structure. The features available in this app require access to various Android, Google, and third-party facilities. I was able to overcome these challenges with assistance from resources already available on the internet.

I am a Ugandan and did a degree in Information Technology and Computing and graduated from Kyambogo University in Kampala, Uganda a few years back. While at university, I had an interest in computer programming and worked on side online projects during my free time. We were never taught Android app development and I, therefore, taught myself Android programming through textbooks and online tutorials while at university and after university. 6 years later, I am still learning how the Android technical and business industry operate. Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

• Music Player by Apps10x: This app has a simple but elegant interface and the fact that this app has managed to collect over 1.5 million reviews is really amazing.
• Music Players by Mobile_V5 and Leopard V7: These two apps have brilliant in-app features such as powerful equalizers, unlike default music players that come installed on most Android devices.

How long have you been working on this app?

I have been working on this app since November 2021.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

My aim was to create a music player that is customizable while playing music. Most music players have at most 3 kinds of currently playing themes available to users.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

• Muxio music player has over 15 beautiful currently playing themes each with a unique design. The app supports over 40 different languages. • Most popular music formats are supported. • The app has some pretty cool-looking music-playing widgets. • The user has the ability to customize the music player in any way for example changing the background and text colors to any color of choice. • You can add your name to the player so that you feel welcome each time you open the app. • You have the ability to save your favorite music in playlists of your choice. • The app has the full offline capability. • Users can edit a song’s metadata within the app for example adding an album art cover, artist’s name, the album name, and so on.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

I currently want to see how users respond to the current version. Future updates will be based on their experience with the app.
