Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, about 35 years, starting with an old Spectrum.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The app presented numerous complexities, with abundant variables at play. Notably, working with real-time synchronizing across multiple tracks. Additionally, striving to maintain as low latency as possible was a pivotal and demanding aspect of the development process.

Antonio Lara is the founder and CEO of Batalsoft from March 2012. Batalsoft develop applications for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets. With more than 50.000.000 downloads, applications are available on Google Play, iOS App Store, Amazon Apps for Android, Samsung Apps among others.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

In the DAW musical domain, I appreciate numerous apps, not necessarily mobile ones. As a musician, I often work with desktop applications like Cubase, Logic Pro, Reaper, Pro Tools, and Ableton, each with its own pros and cons.

How long have you been working on this app?

It was launched in 2015 after an initial development period of around 6 months, and we've been working on it continuously since then, rolling out 123 updates.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

We aimed to develop a music tool where even users without musical experience could play major instruments and those with more expertise could create music easily.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Acknowledging the evolved market and the presence of numerous quality apps, we believe Band Live Rock excels in several aspects: latency, real-time effects, instrument quantity and quality, graphic design and audio format integration.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

While the app has reached a mature stage of development, we’re always sparking new ideas to enhance experience. We're focusing on providing more tutorials to ensure users fully grasp the tools available, as well as enhancing the stability and existing sounds, and adding more instruments.
