Green Steams Pro - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

I have some development and coding experience but I am more into building the concept and designing the flow of the App.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

Most challenging aspects of developing mobile app is its quality, There are hundreds and thousands of Apps out there, but they vanish after a short while. We want our Apps to be competent and user friendly and we try to build the Apps keeping End user in mind. Because he is the main person who will be using it , so his experience matters a lot to us.

I'm Saurabh Pande (Sam). I was always fascinated by computers and software. I did my Masters of Computer from India and Migrated to Australia nearly 8 Years back. Last year, I started building Mobile Apps along with Centralised Management System. My First project was Restrobar ( which specialised in building Customised mobile Apps for Restaurant. Currently there are seven Restaurant in Australia who are using our app. After a while, Hassan Al Ghawas (Owner of Green Steams Pty Ltd) comes up with an excellent idea of building two apps, one for Service provider and the other for Customer.
Hassan is young (He is 23) but is brilliant in thinking, environmental friendly person and an entrepreneur at Heart. We joined hands together and started building Greens Steams Customer and Green Steam Pro. People are liking our apps which really helps us understanding the needs of good working apps. I am thankful to Hassan Al ghawas as well as Green Steams Pty Ltd to gave us this opportunity to make a brilliant product.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

There are several apps out there, but my personal favorite is Facebook and Google Chrome. They always keep customer in mind and come up with the new features every now and then so the customer never gets bored of it. Sometimes I feel the companies who are building the apps, don't keep end user in mind and don't want to keep on adding new features, they just build it like a static website with no future vision. We try to add on new feature with every new app that we are part of.

How long have you been working on this app?

I have been working on this Green Steam App from last six months. For the initial two months, we were just thinking about what we want to build.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

Me and Hassan, the founder, both wanted to give best experience to the user. An App should be user friendly in terms of functionality and should be robust to handle multiple users.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Our apps are better in terms of functionality, pricing, user experience. We always think about an app from the two points of view. A from the end user, B from the service provider. Different people like different functionality, we try to incorporate all under one roof. We always like to challenge ourselves to cross the boundaries.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

In the new versions we are thinking of language conversion, loyalty points, and incorporating new services under Green Steam Umbrella. Also keep on developing products like Restrobar, we are currently working on three different products related to car services, barbers and repairs.

New users are always are very important to us, their experience have helped us build these things and we always want to ask a customer what makes them happy while using our apps.

About App: He can also see the customer location based on Geo Tagging and can navigate through it. The service provider gets a notification whenever the customer creates a service. All the existing services request available can be viewed by the service provider/franchisor, the franchisor/service provider can choose the service request which will be notified to the customer. Service provider can also view the list of existing promotion that is going on and also they can view the location of the customer and what services he has selected.
