Yes, I know from antique programming lanuages like QBasic, FoxPro or Turbo Pascal, all the way to modern Borland Delphi, Visual Studio C, C++, C# and some Java as well. I had no experience with Unity 3D though, which is the engine I used to build The Lonely Hacker. Had a bit of experience with computer security in general.
I would say inventing the missions and other aspects of the game all by myself, and of course coding it all. Once you have a good idea about what you want to do, making it happen in code is a lot easier.
I am an independent developer from Romania, though currently residing in Madrid, Spain. I speak three different languages and consider myself a very open-minded person with a lot of respect for others, but also a very critical thinker sometimes. I love programming for as long as I can remember. I started out programming at a very young age (9 years old) in old MS-DOS coding languages that probably nobody even remembers (like QuickBasic and TurboPascal). Currently I use Unity 3D and C#, and looking back at all my experience with developing games, I can realise how much this industry has advanced, not only in the end quality that we are able to provide to our users, but also at the ease with which you can develop something today in comparison to let's say 10 years ago. I therefore encourage anyone with the same passion as me to follow their dreams and you will discover that you have a lot of the work allready cut out for you!
One app I absolutely love is App Annie. It's a tool for developers that keeps statistics and lets you manage your keywords and make great statistics with all of your data.
Right now it's been in development for about a year, as an independent developer it takes quite a while as I also need to maintain a job.
I played a unique game called Uplink some time ago, and it offerend a complete and inmersive experience for the user as a hacker. I have not found anything like it on mobile, and I wanted to recreate that "thrill" you get while getting into a computer system, the adrenaline from the fear of getting caught and the general "feeling" of hacking.
Though not yet 100% complete, I think my game offers a unique gameplay style with very realistic bases, the hacking techniques are all real, as well as the software/hardware used. Obviously I could not go into explicit details of hacking techniques because this would violate the Developer Agreement Policy that I signed with the Google Play Store, and I think that this is also an advantage because you don't really need to know anything about hacking to play my game!
I am currently working on the campaign (story mode) and on alot of secondary missions that the player can complete while advancing in the campaign mode.
If you have any ideas that you would like me to add into the game, don't hesitate to write! Know about any new hacks that I didn't include? Any suggestions for new missions? I am happy to collaborate with any of my fans in order to provide them with a better gaming experience.
