What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The most difficult moment in the development of the application was a physical and mathematical model of the process of cutting metal on a lathe.

How long have you been working on this app?

2 and half months.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

When developing this application, the user’s needs were taken into account in a mobile interactive manual for working on a real-life 1K62 lathe. Due to the lack of the ability to work on a real machine, anyone can get acquainted with the principles of turning directly on their smartphone or tablet.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Unlike similar gaming applications, this simulator pays great attention to the mechanics of controlling the machine. User actions are similar to the actions of a real worker at the machine.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

Development of simulators of more complex industrial machine tools with numerical control and not only.

About App:

3D simulator of a classic screw-cutting lathe machine mod. 1K62. The application simulates the performance of ordinary turning operations in an interactive mode. The capabilities of the simulation model include operations of external and facing turning, drilling, and boring of holes, turning of grooves, cutting of external and internal threads. In the full version of the application, more than 70 cutting tools are available for work. The graphical user interface is made in Russian and English. Metric and inch measurement systems are supported. The required amount of video memory of the device is 350 MB. The graphical system of the application uses the components of OpenGL 3.0.
