Inle Myanmar - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

No, I’m a tour operator ( Myanmar ). This has led me to create an app that is very simple and it runs on the Web Base.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

I first started from improving my skill set . I learned from YouTube about how to make an app with the Android Studio. The tutorials were very informative. The most challenging part was implementing what I learned from the tutorials; and this was not as straightforward as it seemed.

Aung Myin is the developer and found of Inle Myanmar app. He has been working as a freelance tour guide and tour operations manager in Myanmar since 2002. He specializes in tour operations, sales, and marketing in the tourism environment. Mr. Myin previously arranged to publish some phrase books of English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, German, Italian, French, and Spanish in Myanmar. He has had Publishing Experience like Book Style Layout, Cover Design, Audio Editing & Publisher. Apart from the tour business, Myin is a Computer p rofessional Member in Myanmar Computer Professional Association since 2003.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

I like Microsoft Office apps, and travelling apps, because I love travelling.

How long have you been working on this app?

It took me 3 months to gather and prepare the data. Then some more time to deploy it on Android Studio.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

My App is an easy-to-use information hub for all those tourists travelling in Myanmar ( Burma ).

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Inside my app, users will have a customized Google Map, like Hotels Lists, Restaurants, Attractions, Do’s and Don’ts, Useful Phrases and Emergency Contact numbers. These are very useful information pieces essential for any tourist.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

I would like to make the travel engine for Myanmar ( Burma ) provided I have enough budget.
