DoByText - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

No, I started learning after completion of my second year of B.Tech and this is my first application.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

As I was new to Android development, there were quite a few hurdles which were quite challenging. The most challenging part is adding more and more features and making the app user friendly.

I am currently doing my B.Tech (IT) at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Rohini and I am a third year student. I recently started learning Android and I find it really interesting building some really cool applications. This is my first app and I'm looking forward to building some more apps as well.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

A few of my favorite apps are 'Instagram', 'Uber', 'Zomato', 'Swiggy'. They are all very handy apps and can be used to connect people or to solve user's problem.

How long have you been working on this app?

I have been working on it for two months.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

Remotely control all the features of your mobile phone, if by chance you left your phone at home. Also this app can be used for 'detective' purposes, if you want information of any other user then this is the app you are looking for.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

I think this application contains some features which are not available in any other similar existing application on the market, and I will keep updating and adding more features to it. The innovation it brings is that we can remotely control the phone just by a text message (SMS) without any need of the internet.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

The future plan is to make the application more user friendly and remove any of the existing bugs so that the users don't face any issues. Also, some of the new features include, clicking the images from the camera, toggling hotspot on or off, etc. All these features will be added very soon.
