BotSyncPlus - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, I've been programming since I was 10 years old: mostly web or desktop applications. Only over the last year have I become interested in Android apps.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

It was challenging to create SSH-to-server synchronization and then compare files. All the other functionalities, I added gradually.

My name is Igor Mino and I live in Kosice, Slovakia. I graduated in Informatics and have been working as a web developer on my projects for the last ten years. In recent years, I have been working on server, desktop, and mobile software.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

I mostly like apps that automate my work, but I also like a category of financial tools for trading, such as crypto-coins.

How long have you been working on this app?

I worked intensively on this app for one week, and then for the next two weeks, I was adding extra functionality and web parts.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

The main idea is to backup files like photos, to your server, and free up space on your phone by deleting the backed up photos.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

'BotSyncPlus' has been similar to just one app on the market but this app has not been updated for 7 years and since May 2018 is no longer available. In addition, my app allows multiple configurations and multiple server backups.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

I'm preparing files encryption and a desktop version. Another new feature will be a 100GB storage, which will be available with a charge.

Assuming new users of your app are reading this page. What do you want to ask them to do (contact you about X, Share the app, etc.)?

I recommend that new users backup their data and do not underestimate where they store their private photos. You do not have to pay big companies when you can have a private cloud.
