Yes, I started to get interested in app development about a year ago (thanks to a university course), which allowed me to develop my first mobile app together with my classmate in a short time. Unfortunately, we never managed to finish it completely, but this enabled me to develop my first app "The Chainsaw" on my own.
This app, as you can see, is not very complicated. I did not have much difficulty working on it, since I already knew the final result I wanted to achieve. Probably the most challenging aspect was trying to develop an application that was made a little better than many similar ones that were already on the market.
Giacomo Berselli is a young independent Italian developer. Passionate about technology from birth, he matures his passion for mobile apps during his university years.
'Uber', for the level of development, the design of the app, but especially for the idea behind it. 'Punch Quest', for the beautiful retro graphics.
As I said, this app is quite simple, it only has one activity to be clear, so working only in the evening I finished it in about a week, which was the goal I had set before starting.
This app was created for two categories of people: the fanatics of the sounds of chainsaws and those who want to have fun by scaring their friends. I hope I have satisfied both!
Before starting the development of 'The Chainsaw' I downloaded some similar apps to see how they were made and what improvements could be made. I immediately noticed that aesthetically they were all not so good. It seemed that the developers had not given too much emphasis to design, which for me on the other hand, matters a lot. I think it is one of the main aspects which tempts a user to download a particular app over another similar. So I tried to make it more aesthetically nice. I added 9 sounds of different chainsaws so that everyone can choose what they like - another aspect that many of the other apps on the market do not have. I put the option to use the vibration when you "use" the chainsaw. And that's it: I launched it on the market!
My intention is to release a new updated version of 'The Chainsaw' as soon as possible. The update will include correction of some bugs and new improvements such as the ability to choose different chainsaw models. Once I do that, I think I will devote myself to the development of my first Android game, an idea that I have in mind for some time and I'm already thinking about.
First of all, I would like to thank all the users who downloaded my app and also those who will do it. This is my first app so I do not expect anything in terms of downloads or profits but I'm glad you're enjoying it, even though there are other similar apps on the market. Anyone who wants to share it is free to do so. For any suggestions for improvements, or even for proposals for the development of other apps, you can contact me. I will be happy to answer them all!
