Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, I started coding in a small company that worked on the development of software for monitoring building engineering systems. After that, I was working as a software developer in a large multinational manufacturing company.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The most challenging aspect was the ability to provide our users the possibility of direct communication with the equipment using our product.

Ruslan Fatkhullin, the interviewee, is the CEO of LLC Tesla, which was founded in 2011, and is working on the development of TeslaSCADA.TeslaSCADA is HMI/SCADA for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.It is a set of native multi-platform applications and services for developing Human Machine Interfaces for real-time monitoring of industrial PLC-based systems and processes. TeslaSCADA products allow the control of automated processes to be extended to any device like PC, smartphone, tablet, or even smartwatch.

YouTube: Lets me watch video content on my mobile devices without any problems.
Messengers (Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber): These apps let me communicate with anybody.

How long have you been working on this app?

We started working on first version in 2011. We've been working on TeslaSCADA2 Runtime since the year 2014.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

Our idea is to do a quick visualization between mobile devices and remotely situated industrial devices such as flow meters, compressors, tanks, artificial lift devices, and more. Our product allows the monitoring and control of automated processes to be extended to an ordinary mobile device, smartphone, or tablet without an extra environment.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Our product is the first multi-platform solution in the industrial area. Once developed, the project can be used on various devices, both mobile and stationary in a native way, without using a web browser.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

In the new versions, we’re going to add support to more industrial devices and also provide cloud solutions to our customers.
