My career as a developer started 22 years ago when I created my first website for a band I used to be friends with. It was Geocities based website. I am a professional web developer since the year 2000 with more than a hundred launched projects worldwide.
PomoDone App is more than just a mobile app, it's an ecosystem of 3 desktop apps (Windows, Mac, and Linux), Web app, 2 mobile apps, and Chrome extension. The most challenging aspect was to make all those apps work together, synchronized in a way to make the synergy blooming. And there is plenty of work to get it done, to improve and to deliver better user experience.
Alex Mauzon is a web-developer/analyst since 1997, launched and supported 100+ projects worldwide, including local and distributed teams management, R&D, on-line campaigns and consulting.
Consulting:
• Current stage analysis: tech, traffic, conversion, SE requirements
• UX/UI analysis and conversion optimization, User Acquisition Optimization
• Pre-launch and post-launch strategy analysis
• Stats and analytical systems (GA, GWT, GTM, HotJar, GPI) integration and fine-tuning
Production:
• Teams & Experts (Freelancers) Management;
• Online marketing campaigns implementation, technical support, and analysis
Most of my favorite apps are/were killed after the acquisition. Sunrise Calendar, Mailbox (acquired by Dropbox) and Astro mail app (acquired by Slack), Wunderlist, etc. I can't imagine my life without Spotify and its awesome music recommendations, Spotted by Locals app as my favorite source of must-have locations guide while I travel, Doodle to arrange my meetings, Trpit to keep my trip information, Trafi for Vilnius commute issues, and Revolut as my main wallet.
PomoDone App as an idea, prototype and ecosystem is 5 years old. We started with a simple web app, added desktop app and chrome extension (as long as we consider desktop use case the more important one), so mobile apps the youngest ones, 1.5 years since the alpha versions were released.
When I was trying to use Pomodoro technique, I realized, that all of the Pomodoro timers on the market are either simple stupid (a timer, break, and as the best-case scenario how many pomodori you're able to do per day/week month) or have an inner simple task management system. What should I use if I don't like standard time tracking and have plenty of tasks already assigned to me by my clients, teammates and myself using Trello, Asana, Basecamp? Copy'n'paste the tasks? Copy'n'paste my time log info back to the timesheets? Manually start Slack DND mode, website blocking extensions? Why can't we marry those systems into one? Join Trello + Asana + Todoist as a task source, apply the Pomodoro technique, track my time into a relevant and transparent log and eliminate the distraction. This is how PomoDone App was born.
We help you focus mindfully. Our competitors offer you use an automated time tracking system which will monitor your keyboard or mouse, or stress-inducing count-up time tracking system. PomoDone App offers you separate task management and enjoy your favorite tool(s) for it (Asana, Trello, Basecamp, JIRA, Nozbe, Teamwork Projects, ClickUp) to plan, assign, prioritize, etc, and then mindfully start PomoDone App timer when you're ready to focus. You can start small (5 minutes) or you can use your personal focus session for 50 minutes or even 2 hours. It's up to you. PomoDone app will take care of the rest: sync back your timesheet (if it's possible), let your team see what you're focusing on (via slack channel), turn on and off your Slack Do Not Disturb mode depending on your timer status, block websites you consider as distracting (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube), and will save your activity. You can also receive email reports daily, weekly and monthly with or without CSV attached.
Multiple integrations, Team Features, Smart Watch Integration; Voice commands, Data-based insights, and recommendations, Brand new versions of desktop apps based on cloud timer.
Use the app, support the app and share the app. We love discussing new features, custom use cases, and custom development.
