Yes, we had prior web and app development experience before creating Pathways. That was really helpful, as Pathways was quite a complex project.
The two most challenging aspects of developing this app were, first, creating the content for our various pain relief programs. Then it was handling all the different types of content in the app. From video and audio to text-based challenges, quizzes, and beyond. Handling the way all these different types of content is served was a challenge.
Sandip is the founder of Pathways. After dealing with chronic pain for many years, and then recovering, he decided to dedicate his time to creating a product that could take a pain sufferer like him, back to full health.
Calm and Breathe. Once you load those apps, you almost immediately start feeling a sense of calm and relief come over you. That’s what we hope to do in Pathways.
From the initial version to now, 2.5 years.
That the user is probably in pain, and they’ve probably tried many solutions for their pain. So in the shortest amount of time possible, we need to show that we can help pain sufferers alleviate pain with our mind-body techniques.
I believe we’re the most comprehensive digital pain product. Some products help pain sufferers with the mental aspect of dealing with pain. Some help with the physical. We aim to help pain patients in every way they need. From learning mindfulness and meditation to practicing physiotherapy and yoga, while tracking symptoms over time. No other pain product offers all that we’re able to. And I feel like we’re just getting started!
Next, we’re adding an SOS panic button for when pain sufferers are going through a spike of pain. This will include guided breathing, and simple, but powerful, relaxing experiences. We’re then going to begin the development of our web app, as well as patient-doctor connection features. Later in the year, we plan to start developing guided, relaxing VR experiences.
If you suffer from persistent pain, download the app. Or if you know someone that’s dealing with pain, let them know about our app. It might change their life!
About App:
The Pathways pain relief program has helped hundreds of patients reduce, and sometimes even get rid of persistent, aka chronic pain.
When pain lasts for longer than 3 months, our body's pain system can start becoming overactive and overprotective. Sounding the alarm (pain!) all too often. But there are steps we can take to retrain your brain, and turn down the volume on pain.
We've helped patients with all different types of diagnosis reduce pain. The most common diagnosis include:
Here are some of the key techniques you'll find in the Pathways program:
