OpenDance Academy - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

A big part of our success with the OpenDance Academy application is due to the fact that this mobile application was designed by a team of professional pole dancers who simply know best how to teach pole dancing online. Deep expertise comes from years and years of Worldwide traveling with masterclasses –overall our team knew the exact list of features we need to offer our customers. Luckily, we have a fantastic team of developers assisting us in all technical matters and turning our vision into reality.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The hardest part was to create a natural journey for the customer to guide them through different products and offers and allow them to choose the most suitable class. Pole Dancing classes can vary in styles, levels and all those options have to be integrated into an easy-to-use app. The option to create your own playlist for day training is another challenging feature we always wanted to have in our app.

Zoom – Perfect for communications, especially in COVID times.

How long have you been working on this app?

It took us one year from the design stage to ready application.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

Keeping constant communication with our customers is something we are always fond of, so we knew the need to offer OFFLINE mode to allow students to train in various locations even without internet access for example. The ability to create a custom program for training was on our agenda as well, based on our students' feedback.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Our mobile application was developed by professional dancers for all the passional dancers around the World and it perfectly meets customers’ needs to learn pole dancing online in the most efficient way, offering custom playlists, Offline mode, sort out functionality by the move or instructor. Only OpenDance Academy features the best World athletes like Kira Noire, Marion Crampe, Daria Che, Natasha Wang, Maddie Sparkle, and others.
OpenDance Academy is a community project and our team is extremely passionate about dancing.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

We are the first in the World who launched a new Frame Up class – In the future, we are planning to add more exciting styles, gradually building our strength to one day become Itunes for online dancing.
