I was an Android app developer for four years at my previous job. The rest of the team brings a variety of experiences from several fields. We have veteran developers who bring a wealth of experience to the team, as well as beginners who can bring a fresh perspective to the table.
Creating an app that runs without bugs is always a challenge. While bugs are a common occurrence for any platform, critical bugs in mobile apps can potentially ‘kill’ the app and shut it down completely. Making changes in real-time is also difficult for mobile apps, which is why we must absolutely make sure that we are doing everything we can to catch the bugs early on.
The interview was answered by the OP.GG Mobile Cell, the team behind the OP.GG for Mobile app, which provides data for the popular online game, League of Legends. The team consists of PL, Design, iOS, Android, and Back-end developers. With the OP.GG for Mobile app, fans of the game can search for game-related data, even when they’re not playing the game, and with the recently added esports data feature, we’ve broadened our services to users who don’t play the game but enjoy League of Legends esports.
YouTube and Medium are my favorite apps. YouTube has an immense amount of content and I like to watch different types of videos in my free time, or when I’m looking to learn something new. Medium is a must-have app for developers since it’s full of people’s experience and knowledge about the development process.
We started working on the app in October 2021, and the app was launched in early February 2022 (late January for iPhone), so about four months.
We wanted to focus on creating the best experience for our users. We wanted to create an experience that was seamless and uninterrupted, while also accurately and promptly providing the users with the information they are seeking.
Our excellent design and UX provides users with an app that looks good while also being easy and fun to use. The way our app is designed makes it possible for the user to easily pinpoint and search for the content that they want to see. The OP.GG for Mobile App won the 2022 Red Dot Award for Design Concept, which we see as a clear indication of our superior design and UX.
We want our app to be available in more languages to more users around the world. We’re also planning on introducing new data-based content for the users to enjoy.
We’re hard at work trying to bring new improvements and features to our app to enhance our user experience, all the while making sure we’re providing accurate information in a timely manner.
We invite you to experience a faster and newer OP.GG.
