MikroTicket - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Yes, I had the experience developing the MikroISP web application - www.mikroisp.com.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

Learning how to configure Mikrotik router hotspot through console to later implement this knowledge within the mobile app.

Christian Sasig is an artist and entrepreneur in the development of mobile applications. In 2014 while working for government ministries developing mobile applications for the social sector of Ecuador, he started a wireless Internet provider to provide access to Internet service to families living in areas with difficult access. For this entrepreneurship he development the MikroISP software to automate the processes of the Internet Provider business. When it is not on the computer he spends time traveling to incredible places that catch his attention and in these trips he likes to read bibliographies of characters that have changed the world with their ideas such as Isaac Newton, Steve Jobs, Bob Marley, etc. Currently working on the MikroTicket mobile application that allows business owners of hotels, cafes, bars, restaurants, pharmacies, cyber cafes, to share or sell the Internet service they already have, to their customers to add value to their service. Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

Evernote, it allows me to keep everything I am investigating and then remember easily. Tik-App, allows me to configure and monitor my Mikrotik routers from my phone. Spotify, allows me to listen and share my favorite music lists.

How long have you been working on this app?

For 6 months.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

Sell or share the Internet in hotels, cyber cafes and coffee shops, through tickets or vouchers with username and password to access the internet from smartphones or laptop.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

My application allows any user to implement a hotspot with Mikrotik without technical knowledge since the application performs all the configuration. The application allows to create plans with time of use or data consumption (MB), speed of navigation and number of clients for tickets that access the internet. The application automatically eliminates tickets or vouchers after the consumption of the internet. The application allows you to configure the name of the wireless network.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

Shop html templates with customizable parameters for the hotspot. Sending the ticket or voucher by SMS. Sending the ticket or voucher by NFC.

Try the application in your business to give added value to your customers, for example: In a cafeteria give internet access tickets for hours to your customers or in a hotel give an internet ticket for days during which a particular client would stay. I am sure that MikroTicket will increase the experience of using your service, be it in a hotel, cafeteria or a cyber cafe.
