Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, I have experience developing other apps(games) before.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

It was considering 'How can I keep users within the game for a long time?'

The interviewee, Gyusun Yoon, is the Project Manager of MergeMergeCat and also manages the overseas Department at Chaplin Games. Chaplin Games is a company that specializes in mobile game publishing.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

Well, I prefer most of the apps that are in the casual genre (as they are easy to play), and especially I tend to download and play the apps that are in the rankings.

How long have you been working on this app?

I don't remember exactly, but it seems it took more than 6 months.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

I tried to make users have an experience as if they are actually raising a (cute) cat.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Among the games related to the 'Merge' system, the fact that there were no cats was the difference between other similar apps. Also by using these cats, I can proudly say that I was able to greatly increase our Facebook community.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

To be honest, I am paying more attention to other important projects, but I am also considering new content or cat updates in the future.

It would be nice if users don't just pay attention to cats in the game, but come to our Facebook community that is linked within the game, and see more cat pictures and interact with other worldwide users who all love cats.
