Unfortunately, I have no experience with coding. I’m part of the marketing team and my role is focusing on content creation.
However, we are lucky enough to have a top-star product team who are tirelessly doing their best in order to deliver a high-quality product that supports the effort of our clients to complete construction projects on time and on budget without compromising quality.
I think the biggest challenge that we have had in our journey so far is that the industry’s resistance to a new way of working. Construction is one of the least digitised industries in the world.
This means that many stakeholders in the sector are still resistant to change and remain attached to the old “pen and paper” ways of working. We need to learn to collaborate seamlessly as an industry and make better use of our data.
Anastasios Koutsogiannis, the interviewee, is the content marketing manager at LetsBuild. LetsBuild was formed by the merger of APROPLAN and GenieBelt at the start of 2019. The founders and partners of LetsBuild are passionate about helping construction to become better, cleaner, and more efficient. We want to build a great company, to help construction to digitalise and become Connected Construction.
I have to say Google Maps because otherwise, I would end up being lost all the time. Also, Pleo because it makes our daily life much easier when it comes to business expenses. And, of course, LetsBuild because we are on an ambitious mission to digitalise the construction industry.
LetsBuild’s journey has been long and very exciting. In its current form, the company was formed by the merger of APROPLAN and GenieBelt at the start of 2019. But before that, both companies had been around for approximately six years trying to disrupt the way people in construction communicate, collaborate and eventually build.
The vision behind LetsBuild is to connect construction by fully digitalising the construction phase. Our customers tell us they want one tool for everything so they avoid having to adopt and use many different solutions. We want to deliver that.
Even more importantly, we want to make sure that LetsBuild is always extremely easy to use. We understand how difficult it can be to get everyone to work with digital tools and we want to help on-site adoption.

I think all our future plans and actions are driven by the same vision. To keep construction teams connected and enable them to make better decisions faster while getting rid of the administrative workload. Building Information Modeling is also another area where we believe that we can make a big difference as our product develops.
