Group Links - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, I am a software engineer by profession and I have worked on many technologies including web development, mobile games development, and mobile app development.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

I made this app in 'Flutter', Google's new platform for developing Android and iOS apps. The most difficult part for me was to learn 'Flutter'. I also faced issues in the implementation of different aspects of the app in terms of coding, but with the help of public forums and some amazing 'YouTube' channels, I managed to get the app ready for publishing.

A software engineer by profession: I have been developing mobile games for 3 and a half years now. I create games from scratch including designing, prototyping, creating assets, and developing the final product to be showcased. Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

I love apps that allow me to connect with different people across the globe. The list contains 'WhatsApp', 'Quora', 'Facebook'. The reason I made this app was to create public channels easily accessible by anyone to connect people of similar interests.

How long have you been working on this app?

I have learned 'Flutter' in about 2 weeks. After that, I have been working on this app for about 20 days to get it ready.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

I made this app for people who want to connect with other people on the most popular social channel - 'WhatsApp'. This app is for people who want to find and connect with people of similar interests from same or different location.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

There were other apps available for the same thing on the 'Play Store', but all those apps were full of useless conversations or even groups to which you could not join. I made the app to create unique channels for people to connect. Like, if I want to connect with people that are interested in some funny content or some educational content, I can go to those sections and join some public groups accordingly.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

In the near future, I want to add functionality for identifying whether the group is open to all or only the admins can send message in this group. Also, I would be asking the audience if they were able to join a group to delete inactive/revoked group links from the app.
