Go Diary: With Pet - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

I have 1 year of web development experience using Angular, and then I found Flutter in early 2019 and started my mobile dev journey.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

Besides the challenges of development, the biggest challenge for us is how to make our app visible to more people. Currently, we only have 2 members in our team, therefore we have to do all the stuff by ourselves such as development, video editing, app promotion, managing social media, and so on.

EzPuppies is an indie studio with two team members who are passionate about developing mobile apps and games.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

I would say almost every app from an indie developer team as that is their enthusiasm and passion. However, I would say "I Become A Dog 2". It is a story-driven game; cute and plot twisted.

How long have you been working on this app?

This is our first app that we created and you can say we are an indie team of a developer and a graphic designer. We spent about 1 year to develop this app.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

We focused on creativity while realizing that there are already hundreds of great diary applications in the market. But we are the only one that implemented pet features to a diary app.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Well, we provided most of the diary app features that are required such as backup & restore, searching, sorting, calendar view, dark mode, share photos to external, security such as passcode & fingerprint screen lock to our users, and we also provided our very unique pet features with interaction such as feeding and dialogue.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

We plan to extend our pet features with more interaction. Meanwhile, for the diary aspect, we will add more useful features like export to pdf.
