Mitch is responsible for cross-departmental integration of data, product and processes and oversees product ownership regarding functional, design, and testing requirements, user data analytics, and customer support. Prior to joining GigSmart, Mitch worked in Mergers & Acquisitions and Valuations & Opinions at Lincoln International Investment Bank in Chicago. Mitch graduated cum laude, with a dual degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Notre Dame and was a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society for Economics.
Chipotle App: It does a really good job of creating a clean user interface, while also having really clear steps on how to place and manage orders. They also do a good job of using “hidden” functionality like swipes and press & holds and explaining their uses to users.
United Airlines: Extremely good UX in the ability to book, manage and check-in for flights which is a complex process that they navigate smoothly.

Freedom, flexibility, control, transparency. We wanted to build an app that gave both businesses and workers the freedom to choose how work was done, the flexibility to find workers and find work on their terms, the control of their own outcomes and transparency across the board. We knew that businesses needed workers across all industries and that the same worker who worked in a warehouse could also work in a restaurant so we built a platform that was able to span all industries and skill types.
While many other apps on the market in our space pride themselves on how exclusive they are and vetting out of workers, our platform has focused on inclusivity. We provide options for businesses and workers and gather just what is needed and relevant, when it is needed. Our platform is more efficient and easy to use than any other product out there in our space and we know this from our users feedback.
We plan to continue to expand the product offering to support features around in-app hiring of workers full-time, enterprise functionality for larger businesses, and introducing premium features for our users.
