Yes, I have an informatics engineering degree, with a specialization in information system management from “Instituto Tecnológico de San Luis Potosí”.
The most challenging aspect of GEA was the management of the plants’ time schedules because it is the main function of the app and is extremely attractive for people, I think most of them want to schedule their times the way they want to.
The interviewee, Daniel Rosillo, works as Project Manager in Rosillo Labs, which is an indie software development studio making beautiful apps with high-quality standards for all kinds of people.
I usually work with development apps like Github, Android-Studio, Insomnia or Jira and I love them, because I work as a developer and I’m constantly developing programs and web servers.
I have been working on this for eight months at least. I started with this project because I am Programming all day long and I forget to take care of my flowers constantly.
Performance and scalability are the principal factors to have in mind when you are developing this kind of apps in my case I have to add a beautiful interface too.
The way I see it most apps on the store have a bad interface and they aren't easy to use, the users want a clear interface and features that will be easy to learn. GEA is basically an alarm app for plants, if you know how to set an alarm then you know how GEA works.
In the future versions, I am going to add support for in-app purchases, the possibility of identifying plants and tips for them, and more I want to make a Pokedex of plants!
Give yourself a chance to be surprised by what you will discover in GEA.
