Drive Yojee V2 - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, we did. The Yojee team has been working on the software development for a while along with many other projects.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

It was dealing with the User Experience (UX), giving the users a simple, seamless and an enjoyable experience. The UX has to be simple and comfortable, and the User Interface (UI) has to be easy to use and straightforward. Next was dealing with the app performance and maintaining battery life. Screen resolution, app performance and battery consumption are three critical aspects of mobile app development. The challenge was to design a well-performing, bug-free app which uses the minimum possible battery power. Lastly, it was dealing with multiple devices and different screen sizes. The challenge was to create a driver app compatible with all the mobile phones on the market as well as align the app to the numerous operating systems (OS), and the different limitations that they pose. Criteria that affect the development are the screen sizes, OS requirements, embedded technologies, pixel intensities, etc.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

The Uber app: The reason we really love the Uber app (as end users) is because the app is straightforward and simple to use, even my mom (she is 52 years old) can use the app to book a ride and travel without any hiccups. The design language is simple but ingenious. The second reason is because the app’s performance is perfect on numerous devices, there’s no lag and battery problems.

How long have you been working on this app?

For 4 months.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

It had to be simple to use, scalable and flexible for different business needs, and outstanding app performance.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

The Drive Yojee App V2 is flexible in terms of its scalability and ability to cater to the different needs of our clients. The performance of the app truly optimises the day-to-day delivery operations for our clients as it incorporates Yojee’s Artificial Intelligence Route Optimisation solution. As we put a lot of design thinking into the UI and UX, users can immediately download the app and start using it without any professional training.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

We plan to continuously improve the product and the operating system on the driver app to save more time and money for our clients. Based on our past experiences, it helps us to analyse new potential problems. Yojee aims to solve the inefficiencies faced by our clients with advanced technology such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Blockchain technology.
