I have been coding since 1986. DMD Panorama was released in June 2011 under the name Dermandar but was renamed DMD because of misspelling (Dermander, Dermendar.)
Back in 2011, it was very challenging to process up to 15 images (in order to produce a single panoramic image) with limited processing power and memory on the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone.
Elie KhouryElie Khoury is the founder of Dermandar. He has worked in the videogames industry (Ubisoft) and taught math at a University. He founded this company 10 years ago and his company specializes in real-time image processing.
