Yes. I coded my first website at the age of eight years already, and I really enjoyed it. Following, my school education had its main focus on IT and I now have a degree in computer science from the Graz University of Technology. Besides, lots of software projects were completed successfully.
The most challenging parts were the communication between the app and widgets, keeping these widgets up-to-date, and the permission system of Android when updating the location, for the exact sunrise and sunset times on the widgets, in the background.
I really like SUNNYTRACK [https://www.sunnytrack.app] because it is just great and useful for planning sun and shadows for photography, optimal real estate search, photovoltaics installation, garden planning, or outdoor activities; and because it is “my baby”, developed by myself as well ;-)
Furthermore, I really enjoy Sixpack in 30 Days, because it provides great exercises when you spend lots of time in front of your computer :-)
There is always something to do, still. The time span from initial development until the initial release was about half a year.
Human beings need sun, we need daylight, we need our nature, we are part of it. Therefore, it is more than practical to know exact sunrise and sunset times (or see countdowns) in a very simple way by just looking at your home screen, without having to search the Internet, apps, …
I’m really proud of the great functionality, simplicity, and attractive design of the Sunnytimes Widgets (Daily Sunrise and Sunset Times). Also, instead of activating GPS, manual location mode can be used, and multiple cities can be added – all of them being wonderful ideas of the best users!
Updates are on the way. I will not share the secrets. Sunny times are coming.
Please try the app, share it, and know the sun :-)
