Battle Royale Emotes - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

I had no experience with Android. Once I had an idea and hired an Android programmer to do it, but it failed. The app "Fortnite Emotes" (Battle Royale Emotes) is the first one I did.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The most challenging aspect of developing "Fortnite Emotes" (Battle Royale Emotes) was undoubtedly that the application complied with the rules and policies of Google Play Store, as the word "Fortnite" couldn't be used at any time within the app, for legal reasons. Another challenging aspect was to include multiple languages in the app, since I am Spanish and I don't understand much English.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

I'm a big fan of applications and I'm always installing new apps on my device to see how they work and if I can get some ideas to develop new apps. Currently I like many applications, such as the game "Fight List". For me it is the best thinking game that currently exists.

How long have you been working on this app?

For this application I spent almost 3 months working and trying to find the best and the fastest design for the users. Frankly it has been very worthwhile, since most of the reviews are 5 stars and I am happy to see that the "Fortnite Emotes" app is liked by the users a lot.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

The main idea was that users who downloaded the application on their devices did not uninstall it at the same time, so I included push notifications to be able to notify them when new Fortnite emotes are published. This way I have managed to get more than 60% of the users to leave the application installed on their devices forever.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

There is no similar application. Before its development, I was browsing the Google Play Store to see how I could improve and its unique design and unique features make it the best app on the Fortnite Emotes market.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

Updating the app constantly is the plan that I must always follow. This way, users will keep the app installed and will continue to rate it positively on Google Play. I would also like to include new features such as the option to download the Fortnite emotes on the user's device and also launch the app for other languages such as Portuguese, Italian, French, etc.
