Basobaas - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, we have a lot of experience in web technologies, but our experience in mobile development is relatively new. We developed a few apps that were outsourced to us, some are still under development and some of the apps are discontinued.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

I think for us the most challenging aspect of developing the app was user experience and I can tell you as part of a digital agency, we take it very seriously. So to overcome this we had to imitate a few proven products with the best UX, namely Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

There are a lot of apps that I love. If I have to name them, then 'Evernote', 'Medium', 'Feedly' would come on top. These are the apps that I use everyday and with their clean interface they are easy to use. 'Evernote' helps to manage all my notes and reminders while 'Medium' and 'Feedly' give me the content I want, not just some random content.

How long have you been working on this app?

It's been a good few months that we worked on this app. When we started we wanted it to sync with the website but then some changes came to the website, and again some more changes. So, it took us a few months to reach a stable position to launch the app.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

This app is in its very early state and far from the one we are finally planning to build. The main idea behind the app is to build something so that home seekers, sellers, service providers etc. connect via this app to provide the solution to a problem related to home or home improvement.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Like I said earlier, our app has been in its very early stage till now, but what we want to do is to make it better day by day, outdoing ourselves in that process. Because, we think that we are our own main competitors when it comes to this app.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

Since we have accompanied home seekers and sellers with this app, we now want to broaden our horizon and accompany developers, service providers, bloggers, and many more. Our future release is focused on the user-specific content.
