ZuluTrade – Copy Trading Platform - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

All the ZuluTrade developers who have worked on this app had a lot of development experience and a great technical background.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

One of the most demanding aspects of the ZuluTrade mobile app was the fact that it needed to inform the users about their investments in real-time. With that said, we succeeded in implementing all the top of the notch technologies to get these data instantly, provide them to the users in a simple and comprehensible manner while keeping the app light and with low network usage.

ZuluTrade was founded in 2007 by Leon Yohai, and created in response to the non-existence of a web-based platform that could audit traders globally and at the same time; enable traders to share their knowledge with people interested in their strategies.ZuluTrade's vision is to become the world‘s largest social trading community in the globe offering customer-focused investment solutions!

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

One of our most favorite apps in Finance is the N26 one because of its simplicity and easy UX. On a similar note, Whatsapp is able to bundle a feature-rich experience in a very simple manner.

How long have you been working on this app?

The ZuluTrade app has been developed for more than 10 years now. The company was launched as a startup back in 2007 and has been improving and updating the app experience ever since with the users and their journey in mind.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

ZuluTrade made trading to new investors easy by featuring already successful traders for them to follow. We were one of the first copy and social trading platforms in the world so when we were developing the app, we had users who have little to no knowledge of trading in mind (whether they wanted to trade forex, commodities, indices, cryptos). Eventually, experienced users still benefit from this app too as manual trading is allowed.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

The app is written in native code for both Android & iOS, offering a fully native experience for each platform's user base. Nowadays it's more often for apps to publish web-based applications - this has the benefit of developing the app quicker but the end result is a more poor experience for the end-user. We never sacrifice the user experience for a quick win.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

Our aim is always to provide our users the best possible outcome. We intend to keep improving the app's stability and fixing various issues while importing big features from the desktop app.
