vCode – Code Editor - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

I have around 3 years of total experience in Android application development. I have achieved the milestone of developing almost 500 apps in my career. I am learning continuously with the development of each of my applications and trying to get hands-on with the latest technologies such as Firebase and GCM.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The challenge that I've faced while developing this particular app was to keep the code in the editor saved in case of exceptions, to save all the efforts of the developer. To auto-format the code was also a challenge which I've tested on different devices and it proved successful.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

"Google Maps & Navigation" is one of the greatest apps of all time, as it helps everyone and improves travelling experience. Offline maps is the feature which is another best thing about this app. Other than that we have "Photomath" which enables users to solve complex problems with just a click.

How long have you been working on this app?

I have spent almost 300 hours on this app to make it as accurate as possible and I hope to make all these hours worth it.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

While I started working on this app, the only thing which I kept in my mind was to provide ease for developers when they are on foot and far from their computers. Providing mobility to developers was always a task for me & I took fare amount of time to make it happen.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Every developer spends a lot of time developing complex apps like this one. I think that auto-indentation which this app provides, is more efficient and quick. Intellisense provided in the app is much more accurate than in any other app on the market.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

Receiving diverse responses from all over the world makes me think more on the precision of the app and the need to improve the Intellisense technology.
