Useeum is coded by different developers working at Makeable, an app agency. So, some of the developers have a lot of experience and some are still students. We like to have a team with different types and different levels of experience. It gives a good dynamic to the development and to the workspace.
Useeum is a joint platform that must fit the different requirements of our customers. Therefore, we had to make an app with a lot of different possibilities and a backend system that is flexible so it is possible to add new features so Useeum continues to meet the needs of all our customers.
The interviewee, Anja Bundgaard Bjerrum, is the project manager at Useeum. Useeum helps museums and similar places create great stories and games through one joint app.
Useeum started in 2015 with just one museum. In November 2021 there are more than 80 profiles in seven countries and the app has been downloaded more than 135.000 times
Instagram: It’s a very visual app that connects people with the same interests around the world.
Coop: It make everyday shopping easier.
We started Useeum in 2015.
Communicate history, nature, and science in an entertaining and exciting way to the users by providing museums and similar institutions with a platform that gives them the possibility to tell great stories to their visitors.
Useeum can meet the needs of all museums and similar institutions. There is a lot of different content in the app, that we are very proud of E.g. The MuseumMystery, a treasure hunt for kids. We are very proud of the game because it makes museum visits fun and educational for kids. We also have pod walks that use narrative elements to make history come to life for adults.
It’s a benefit for both the users and the institutions that Useeum is a joint platform. The institutions can focus their money on content instead of development because the price of development and maintenance is shared between all partners. The user only has to download one app and it is available in a lot of places.
In the future, Useeum wants to keep making exciting new stories for people and expand to more countries.
Soon we are launching our first partnership in the app.
Download the app and visit some of the profiles and if they like the app, please give us a review.
