Yes, I have a 3 years of experience starting with games development, and now I have 4 apps fully published on 'Google Play' and two apps and one game under development.
For the mobile app I had a really hard time with the compatibility on different Android versions, because codes behave differently on different devices and different versions, so I have to do a lot of testing and make a lot of changes in the code. There is always some device which is encountering bugs and I always have to fix them in new updates.
I am a fan of 'Opera Mini' browser for a long time, it is really fast to use. Also the 'Internet Speed Meter' which shows the internet usage on the phone's top bar so I know how much I use and if there is any app downloading in the background.
The first working prototype took me one month to finish, then I start making a new app with better UI, so it took two other months and this was the 'Unseen Basic' app. After that I started another version with the idea of making a 'Facebook' alternative without the need to use the official 'Facebook' app or messenger, and ended up with the 'Unseen for Facebook' app after another 3 months, which is a more customizable version and has a lot of features, themes and languages support (chat heads, night mode, video player, and a lot of other features to explore). So in total I can say more than 6 months to get where I am now.
The first ideas of the app were privacy and the lightweight size after I suffered from the high space consumption of the 'Facebook' and 'Messenger' apps. On top of that I wanted to use 'Facebook' even when I don't have time to reply to other people's messages and without leaving the 'sent' or the 'seen' mark on their messages, knowing that will make them feel uncomfortable, thinking that I don't want to reply on purpose, so I started with the app for personal usage like a lot of other apps that I have made...Then I thought that other people may want to do the same as me, so I started developing it to be published.
Before I started developing I searched a lot for apps with the same features, but unfortunately I didn't find any...yes there are other apps with the ability to read messages without leaving the 'seen' mark and they have more then one million downloads but they all use the same way to do that. They read the notification that arrives on your phone and let you read the full message within this notification, so in other words you can't read a message that doesn't arrive as a notification on your phone. On the other hand my app is totally different, it gives you the ability to read any message from your inbox even if it arrived before installing the app. Also it hides your chat status so you look like you are offline without turning the chat off, so you can still see online contacts. I think my app is unique on the market and can be better with time, it is a new app after all.
Right now I'm focusing on bug fixes and reliability, so people won't have problems using it, after that I will start adding more and more functionality to it so it attracts different users.
I will ask them to be patient, as I said it is a new developed app and I know it has a lot of bugs, so people hurry to give it a low rating without considering to contact us to fix the problem first. I always read their emails carefully and respond in less than 24 hours, and make sure I search for every bug and try to fix it in the next update. Some times the bug is only occurring on a specific device and Android version so it's really hard to fix it in one update. I hope the users can be more patient and give more time for the app to grow to their expectation. And if you like it I hope you can share it with your friends and family, well, do that only if you are not afraid of them reading your messages without you knowing. ?
About App: If you don't want to have your friends knowing when or if you've read their messages, this is the perfect app to block those pesky read receipts. While others may find it handy, it can be cumbersome if you have a friend who expects you to reply immediately. This Application can: ☆ Hide the ”Seen” feature. ☆ Hide the "Last active..." indicator. ☆ Hide the "Typing..." indicator. ☆ All this and more! Important note: This is not a hacking app, it's just a Facebook alternative with the ability to stay invisible to your friends and read your messages without leaving the 'seen' mark.
