theQoos: K-Pop News, Friends, Music & Community - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

We are more of a social media platform than an app/software development company.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The technical aspects associated with the app's development such as being compatible with an ever-increasing range of devices and operating systems.

theQoos gives fans the ability to view and organize all their favorite K-Pop content all in one place, including news, photos, videos, user-created posts, etc., and provides the K-pop community with a digital playground to interact with each other in ways they’ve never been able to before. Through the encouragement of real profiles and more personalized interactions, fans are able to create authentic, tight-knit communities and get to know each other beyond the toxicity and anonymity of online forums. At theQoos, fans can safely express themselves and build the types of communities they only ever dreamt of - made for theQoos, by theQoos.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

Instagram: A great way to keep up with the lives of people you know personally and or are a fan of.
Spotify: Has a great selection of music that you can listen to, on the go, or at home.

How long have you been working on this app?

Since February 2019 so it’s been just over 2 years.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

We wanted to give fans of K-Pop an opportunity to have a place customized just for them where they can get all of the K-Pop content all in one place and meet other friends like themselves. There are so many K-Pop fans everywhere and we wanted to bring them together to express their love for K-Pop but also make valuable connections and develop friendships over time.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

We have over 84+ K-Pop artists, more than any other app, and also provide a safe environment for K-Pop fans to have fun away from all of the toxicity and maliciousness that exists in other places. We are made for every K-Pop fan who loves K-Pop!

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

We are developing interesting ways for K-Pop fans to communicate with other fans of K-Pop but also K-Pop artists in interactive and fun ways. We will create contests as part of this where prizes will be given to the best interaction between artists and fans as voted on by the fans!
