Prior to founding Synkers, I didn’t know anything about coding, design, user experience, and user interface. I hold a bachelor's degree in Finance and had more than 6 years of experience in business before starting Synkers.
In my opinion, developing a mobile app is not tough. The toughest job is to hire the right technical co-founder that will be able to build the right technical team. It took me at least 6 months to find the right person and once I did, we launched the 1st prototype after 2 months only.
Audrey NakadAudrey Nakad is the co-founder and CEO of Synkers, a mobile education platform that connects learners to highly qualified private tutors and mentors. Her vision is to build the largest self-regulated community of knowledge exchange. In 2019, she has been listed on Forbes 30 Under 30.
She sold her 1st startup, a painting business in Montreal while she was 18. She holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from Concordia University, Canada.
From 2012-2015, she was part of a rotational leadership program in one of the leading insurance companies in North America “Sun Life Financial” where she developed her leadership and strategy skills.

We launched Synkers app in September 2017.
We created this app to solve the problem of finding the right tutor. It takes on average 5-7 hours to find the right tutor based on the student’s learning style and goals. Once you find your tutor, it is difficult to fit in his schedule. Synkers solves this problem in 3 simple steps: you pick a course, you select a qualified tutor based on your preference (date, time, price, location, reviews, rating etc…) and you book a session with your tutor online or face to face.
Most of our competitors (Wyzant, Teachmenow, Chegg) provide online sessions but lack personalization and incentives for tutors and students.
As the only pioneer in peer tutoring in the region, the core objective behind the peer to peer methodology is ensuring students are connected to people who are just like them. They have the same background and experiences, which allows them to connect on an individualized level and work together to mutually succeed.
We are one of the very few who truly invest in their tutors to ensure both: customer satisfaction and a positive and professional relationship with our tutors. This is done through:

We are also actively developing a plan to create an AI tutor that elevates the tutoring experience to new heights of customization.
