Storytime Sam - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes. I have also created a number of Alexa Skills and Google Actions over the years. I love telling stories so I've long wanted to create something that would tell fun and different stories.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The most interesting thing about this app was integrating GPT3 and Siri. We particularly wanted to "teach" GPT3 how to generate children's no matter what the prompt. We were able to accomplish this and are proud of the outcome.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

My friends and I are particularly interested in news apps and various educational channels on YouTube.

How long have you been working on this app?

1 month. ChatGPT (GPT3) presented a unique opportunity to create something ground breaking and truly different from anything that's existed before.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

To keep children entertained and engaged and give them a way to use their imagination.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

We think that our app is unique because it uses GPT3 and generates new stories based on what the child or parent says. The recent introduction of ChatGPT has made app like this possible. Moreover, our app's integration with Siri makes it possible for any child to create their own story by using their voice.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

A feature requested by some of our early users is the ability to add a their child's favorite character to their stories. We also plan on adding additional functionality that allows parents to share their favorite children's stories.
