Smarty CRM - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Personally, I have the most experience with UI and UX designing. However, in Smarty, we have a highly skilled top-notch programming team. Hami is in charge of the web, who is one of the best in his field, Javid works on the iOS app and Amir takes care of Android development.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The most challenging aspect of developing a CRM mobile app is the web services and since we are planning to provide users as much as data possible, designing a user-friendly UI with the capability to show all of these data is a completely different challenge.

Reza is the Head of CRM Customer Experience in Smarty Software. Smarty Software is a leading small business software provider featuring brands such as Smarty Accounting and Smarty CRM.
Reza started his career as a freelance web developer owing to which now has a total understanding of the challenges in the business market. Here is what he says:
"Running a business has never been easy, we are all aware of it. However, what I always had in mind was to set a systematic approach to help people work at their dream job. Before working with Smarty Software, for nearly two years I had the chance to work with start-ups and SMEs and try to help them boost their sales and manage their businesses. From marketing to sales, I have always been passionate about helping businesses grow and reach their goals, in which I can tell I am doing well!"

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

I use G Suite apps on all my platforms simply because of their seamless capabilities and since I am an iPhone user, which is a kind of irony, I also use WhatsApp for personal communications and Spotify for listening to music because they are the best in class.

How long have you been working on this app?

It has been about a year that we are working on a new version of Smarty CRM but we started to develop our mobile apps aroundsix months ago. We are also working on a mobile app for accounting, which is called Smarty Accounting. It helps you monitor financial performance and allows you to easily send your invoices from wherever you are. Smarty Accounting is now on App Store and soon it will be available on Google Play Store.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

It is simple: “Staying on top of their business beyond time and location.” With the power of the Smarty CRM mobile app, you can connect to your customers in a completely new way, all from your mobile devices. It helps you stay on top of all your sales activities whether you are away. Increase sales efficiency by locating more leads, scheduling more meetings and closing more sales opportunities.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Smarty CRM has a very detailed and insightful reporting section, compared to other similar apps, which means the managers can view their business performance at a glance of the eye in the format of charts and tables. Our apps also offer very rich contact details allowing the users to have a complete overview of the contacts’ latest interactions such as call records and email conversations.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

We are pushing more and more web features to our mobile apps and our aim is to empower the business owners to take care of their business while they are away from their desk. For now, managers can access their company email conversions and company call records but we are planning to bring call feature to our mobile app, which is a unique feature in CRM mobile apps.
