Seven Workout : burn fat and build muscle at home - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

I was trained up to Bac +3 in France in IT development, with an introduction to Android development. On my side, I took training further, and I also learned to develop with iOS.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The shooting of each of the videos, the cutting and editing, and especially the compression so that the application does not weigh tons. Google and Apple hate it. And above all to make the application fluid, because between the videos and the timers, it was not easy to design.

The interviewee, Maxime Tent, is the owner of DFMV Enterprise and the chief architect behind Skate Tricks and other amazing apps.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

There are a lot of projects that I have enjoyed since the early days of Android, here are the ones I use the most on a daily basis:
Songsterr: For playing guitar and learning new songs, Smart Audiobook player for audiobooks: It is, for me, the best app besides listening/managing its audiobooks with ease, and Dealabs to locate good plans.

How long have you been working on this app?

6 months were enough to design everything, including shooting the videos. The first version did not have everything that was there at the moment, but it was already very complete.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

I myself had a hard time starting the sport. It was the Seven challenge that really got me moving for the first time. Since then I have never stopped sport. It is above all also the desire to help people to get started because, in the beginning, it is really not easy to find the motivation. With Seven Workout, you have to tell yourself that it only lasts seven minutes, and it's excellent for our health.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

To begin with, its design. I am very proud of it, I find the application very original visually. It doesn't have the "formal" or "school" aspect, I did something pretty cool (well I hope haha).
I am the only one who also uses videos. Why? Simply because the videos are much more detailed to reproduce the fitness exercises in real life. The competing apps are content with overly simplistic animation, and when we use them we do not know if we are doing the movement correctly. There is also the tracking of his weight, and his statistics to follow his progress on a daily basis.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

I will add new exercises, and create new targeted workouts, as well as new challenges. Something to delight all users!

First of all, thanks for reading. I would sincerely like you to try the application, I think it is the best to start the sport, and then to create your own daily workout. It is an application that I made with my heart, and a lot of users have helped me to improve it.
