Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

I have 13 years of coding and development experience and 5+ years specifically in coding mobile applications.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The biggest challenge is managing so many types of variations of devices and write your app in a way it works fine on all. Huge variation in other factors like not everyone has the same fast internet connectivity adds other challenges to provide an amazing experience on all kind of devices in all kind of situations.

I love apps like WhatsApp as this is the single most app used by all my family and friends to stay connected.
Instagram: I love it to share my photography which I do in my spare time as a hobby.

How long have you been working on this app?

We have been working on this from last 8 months.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

We found that a lot of users goes to conferences and meet people in different places and one common thing they do is exchanging business cards. Once that is done less than 2% only really gets stored for the purpose of being able to use in the future. Doing a manual data entry is such a pain that almost no one does it. This then basically defeats the purpose of sharing business cards. Another important aspect was to avoid wastage of paper by encouraging people to take a picture and store the business card rather keep the physical card and then at some point trashing it.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

I found 100s of apps in the market doing exactly what I wanted to do. And for a long time, I was sure that this is not a good idea to really do the same thing. But every single time I tried to use those apps they all were faulty in one way or other. Some had horrible user experience and others had poor data quality conversion. A lot of them failed miserably in extracting email or phone number correctly. If that info is wrong then there is just no point of using the app at all. Another big thing that I found missing was the inability to properly sync with CRM systems like Oracle Sales and Service Cloud, Salesforce, etc. Some had partial support and others had it buggy. We saw it a really big pain point among enterprise customers and decided to solve it.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

We have a lot on the plate in terms of upcoming features. We are building a lot of features for our non-enterprise and enterprise customers and users. We things are like even smarter and faster conversion of a business card to the contact info. Ability to sync with more CRMs like Microsoft Dynamics. Ability to share the business cards from phone to phone, ability to do bulk editing and management of business cards. Ability to do the lead qualification right in the app which is a big ask by our enterprise users.
