Road Signs in Australia - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, a little.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

I think that the most challenging aspect of my job is to guess what would my users want from app, and how they would like it to look.

I have started programing few years ago with simple apps for my child. My first apps were only for kids, learning letters, English words, animals etc.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

I do not have favorite apps, but I personally love apps that can help me in everyday life. Simple and useful applications like calculator, maps, chats… and other tools that have purpose, not simple time wasting.

How long have you been working on this app?

In the matter of fact this app is consist of 7 apps. They have about 50 different countries, 45 languages, XX thousands images of sings, and XX thousands of correct and wrong answers, and it’s still growing. Me and my colleague started to make Road Sings (first of seven) two years ago, and work on them is permanent.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

Because this app have purpose of learning road or traffic signs, I think that user’s need is to get drivers license or for education.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

I think (maybe little arrogant) that my app is better than others from same category because of design, accuracy, leaderboard, and most of all ‘cause users can learn trough game.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

Plans are to add more and more countries, and maybe to add some interesting new feature, but let it be secret for now.

Assuming new users of your app are reading this page. What do you want to ask them to do (contact you about X, Share the app, etc.)?

Everyone are free to contact me by mail, and say their wishes and propositions about future app’s features. And of course if you like it, please share it and rate it. Thanks.
