Yes, I have plenty of prior development and coding experience. I have developed and promoted over 200 unique apps.
The most challenging aspect of developing 'Paras' was the AI used in the app, which helps users to get focus and prioritize things so they don’t have to.
I'm a technologist, entrepreneur, and investor. Early in my career, I developed a comprehensive software to manage road assets. This software became the standard for analyzing and approving mega-loans to foreign countries. At Verizon, I led the modernization of mission-critical application serving 75+ million subscribers. In 2003, I founded and exited from a VoIP marketplace that was trading over a million minutes a day. When Apple released its first iPhone, I founded Pyntail as a game studio. Since then, Pyntail has morphed into a cloud-based mobile backend as a service. In last two years, I've made many seed investments in real-estate, media, fin-tech, social, and IoT start-ups. I am also a published author of two books: Microsoft Biztalk Server and Business Process Automation & The Red Queen Effect.
One of my favorite apps right now is 'CamScanner' because it allows me to convert JPEG files into more manageable PDF. Also, using OCR (optical character recognition), it allows me to convert them into text to further trim down the size of the file.
About a year to this day.
The user need that I had in mind when developing 'Paras' was their need to bring balance in their lives. There are only 24 hours in a single day and we wanted our users to be able to get the most out of those 24 hours. We wanted the users to be able to maximize their time whether it’s for personal activities, professional, familial, or even for the community.
We believe that our app is better than other to-do apps because of the artificial intelligence that is built into it. One use of this artificial intelligence serves to automatically send reminders to users based on how long it takes to finish a task. For example, if it took you 1 week to complete a research project, 'Paras' will send you a reminder 1 week in advance on the next research project that you have to do. I am particularly proud of this because this way, it is simple to manage your time. 'Paras' makes you devote your time to doing that research project for one week, while the rest of the time is yours to spend however you want. That way, you don’t just devote yourself to work all day, you’re allowed to spend the rest of the time as your leisure or with family. That way, a fulfilling work-life balance is created.
Future plans for the app include the release of an iOS version. Also, a shared list where you create a specific list of tasks that you and your collaborators can view at once.
I would ask them to invite their friends and family to try out 'Paras' and share it with their co-workers. I’d like more people to see how useful 'Paras' can be in their daily lives.
About App: Paras is a holistic solution to productivity, designed to help entrepreneurs accomplish their goals. Paras is a powerful AI driven task tracker app that lets you schedule everything from board meetings to errands and chores. You can also manage a team of go-getters to accomplish more together. Paras has an easy-to-understand tutorial. The interface is so simple that it only takes a few swipes to add and delegate tasks. With Paras, you can effectively manage tasks in a flexible and stress free manner. Whether you prioritize the most important task first or break down daunting projects into smaller pieces, Paras makes things simple. Using the built-in chat function, you can talk about your tasks and keep your collaborators appraised. You and your team can track each other's progress and, with a built-in chat function, discuss the project and individual tasks. Don’t just work hard, work smart! Paras keeps track of your projects and when they’re due. With a swipe, Paras shows you the tasks you have to do for the day at a glance. If you can’t complete a task today, you can postpone it for a later time.
