Yes, I've been developing software for many years. However, working on mobile apps within a game development engine such as Unity is a newer experience for me.
Getting the flock of fish to swim around naturally was a fun AI challenge.
Currently, I've been playing around with True Surf. I can't get over how real the ocean waves behave!
Ocean View AR took about 6 months of development time.
I want users to make their own creations (pictures and video) within the ocean-themed environments.
Compared to other AR portal experiences, I like how Ocean View AR has a feature to make the background transparent enabling the user to bring in the real world as a backdrop to the underwater world. I also like the variety of environments. There are a couple of non-portal experiences such as adding sharks to a real body of water.
I would like to add additional environments over time. Future environments may be downloadable.
Take videos and pictures and share the results on your favorite social media site!
Step through an augmented reality portal and visit stunning underwater worlds. Take pictures or videos of the marine life you encounter. Visit an array of tropical fish, sharks, sea turtles, and more. Make the ocean world semi-transparent to show the real world as a backdrop to the ocean world. Find a real ocean and watch sharks swim alongside unsuspecting beachgoers!
Be safe! Ocean View AR encourages exploration. Always be aware of your surroundings and make sure it is safe to explore.
