Yes. I'm a full-stack developer. I have been coding since 2012 and developed many web and mobile applications.
There are plenty of manufacturers using Android and everyone is using their own customized skins. Plenty of OEMs are implementing aggressive battery optimization mechanisms that are killing the apps that are running in the background.
Making users aware of this problem and guiding them to tweak their phone settings to prevent our app from killing is really challenging.
Also, each app shows the notification differently. Writing a common logic to handle any kind of notification received is a never-ending work and I still tweak the logic in every update.

I have been working on this Notification History Log app for the last 3 years.
To help users with organizing the notifications they are receiving on Android smartphones and tablets.
Notification History Log is mostly designed following the material design guidelines. I’m proud to say, this app has the best user interface and user experience.
Apart from design, Notification History Log has a log of useful features like advanced search, blacklist, filters, export, backups, dark mode, widget, etc.
I’m planning to add Google Drive backup and restore features to Notification History Log in the coming updates. Along with it, I’m trying to open the actual notification instead of opening the app when the user clicks on the saved notification. Technically it is not possible every time, so it will work temporarily for the recent 100-200 notifications.
If you are a Notification History Log user and facing any issue with the app, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me at email@example.com before leaving a review on Play Store.
Also, the app is developed to store the notifications you are receiving on your smartphone. It starts storing the notifications only from the time you install the app. If you are trying to see the notifications you received before installing the app, it is not possible.
Never imagined what happens to your notification when you dismiss or clear it from notification tray?
Have you ever in a situation where you accidentally removed the notification/message from any installed application and want to read that deleted message or notification again?
Notification History Log is here for your rescue.
Once you install this app, it will start generating the notification log and you can literally view the notification history anytime.
You can easily manage, sort, and view all past notifications you received after installing the Notification History Log application.
This app works on almost all Android smartphones and tablets running on KitKat or higher. The best thing about the app is the Advanced History feature where you will get full control over your past notifications.
Notification History Log Features:
The entire app magic happens in the Advanced History screen. You can see deleted messages and past notifications with detailed information. The powerful search will help you find any stored notification from the entire notification log very easily.
All notifications are grouped based on apps to show you the timeline of notification history.
You can also add important notifications to favorites, filter past notifications, export* the notification history to the Text file or Excel file, clear notification logs, and more.
Notification History Log is bundled with both light and dark themes. More themes will be added in the coming updates.
Add widget to your home screen to view the notification log instantly
You can blacklist the apps to ignore them in the notification logs.
Backup and Restore:
You can back up the notifications and restore them again when you are reinstalling Notification History Log later. All backups are encrypted and stored on your phone memory
Android Default Notification History:
On supported devices, you can enable and open the Android's default Notification History to view past notifications in the traditional way. You can enable this option in App Settings.
Clear Notification Logs:
You can clear the entire notification history from the Settings or you can even delete the notifications specific to single app.
