Muscle and Motion Strength Training - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Muscle & Motion LTD has partnered with Emyoli Technologies LTD to build for M&M a fully blown content platform displaying over 4,000 3D human anatomy animated videos. The app is running and offered over various types of platforms including web, Android tablets, iPads and just released iPhones and Android phones. Muscle & Motion selected Emyoli Technologies as its technology partner for Emyoli's proven experience developing top-notch quality software in the web and mobile spaces for various businesses and organizations. Emyoli's products are serving millions of users throughout the world over various platforms namely Web, iOS, and Android.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The app has an earlier desktop version developed with Adobe Flash as3 technology. The app's first version was developed as an executable to launch a Windows machine. When moving to the web/mobile realm, many of the app's assets were already created for flash technology. Hence a big challenge was the selection of a coding platform to run the assets seamlessly with as little modification work on the assets themselves as possible. The decision eventually was to code the web and tablet versions using the Adobe air framework and to code the phone flavors: iPhone and Android phone using native technology. This combination of utilizing different technologies plus the integration with 3rd party APIs like Apple Pay, Bluesnap, plus the requirement to build a secure, scalable backend creates quite a complex echo system that requires expert level coding, maintenance work plus tech management with unparalleled execution power.

How long have you been working on this app?

Work on the strength app in its web/mobile flavor started in June 2014. We have just launched our Android and iPhone versions a few days ago.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

The need to see and understand how our body moves, and how to train safely without injury. We want to help users achieve 3 main goals: · Understand which muscles work in every exercise and every movement. · See how the body moves, and how to train safely without injury. · Trainers will be able to show their clients how they help them and what happens inside their body in every training.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

We are the first and currently the only app that shows the anatomy of strength training in motion and common mistakes for every exercise in 3D. You don’t only get a video for each exercise. We also show you what not to do, the risks of injuries, how the muscles work in the exercise with a look inside the muscles, and lots of small nuances that make a big difference in exercises. Our 3D detailed animations are unique. It took us 20 years of hard work to create more than 4500 accurate videos including strength training, stretches, anatomy and more.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

In the future, we plan to give our customers the ability to create optimal strength workout routines. We will also give our users the option to choose other languages like Spanish, Portuguese, Russian etc...

Assuming new users of your app are reading this page. What do you want to ask them to do (contact you about X, Share the app, etc.)?

If you like our app, we would love if you would share it with your friends & colleagues. Our goal is to help people connect with their bodies, and achieve their goals safely, without getting injured. And also, it will be great if you can rate us on the App Stores, it will help us a lot.
