Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Edisoft has experience in business process automation and digital technology since 1999. The company has done mobile development since the mid-2010s when the first version of the EdiAgent application was created. The application helps to manage and automate the work of mobile teams - merchandisers, salespeople, sales representatives, servicemen, sales agents. Now our product portfolio includes a line of several b2b applications.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

Our application is intended for a b2b audience, so the developers and architects had to study all the details of the business processes of our clients. So that the client does not adapt to the application and its logic of work, but the application itself is flexibly adapted and adjusted to the situation in the company. We went this way and spent hundreds of hours of development to actually create a constructor application with the option of customization. For example, this allows you to implement the necessary functionality for mobile agents, configure checklists, reports, directories, promotions for customers, task lists, and the logic of their implementation.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

In Eastern Europe, banking mobile applications and delivery service aggregator applications are very developed. How long have you been working on this app?

The product has been developed in 2011-2012. Over the past time, it got several global updates in design, interfaces, and options. Every new customer is a new experience, which ultimately helps to update the product. The best user experience is also transferred from the customized version to the general solution.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

Monitoring mobile agents via GPS, quickly sending tasks, using product catalogs on the tablet screen, receiving orders and sending them instantly to office ERP, creating photo reports that cannot be faked.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

The application looks like a "multitool" - agents do not need to carry a lot of papers, contracts, catalogs, come to the office for planning meetings, receive a route or submit a report. Everything is in one application. The boss, in turn, sees from the office where his subordinates are. He sends them tasks in real-time, keeps track of where they are going and what happens at the points.

There are many applications on the market for monitoring “field” employees, and almost all of them unscrupulous agents can deceive - use fake GPS to display visits or “left” photos for reports. We made it so that merchandisers and agents cannot fool the application. You can’t substitute another GPS here, and secret data is added to the photos - when and where exactly they were made.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

We plan to spend efforts on improving UX/UI, making the interaction of sales agents with the application even more comfortable. We are also expanding the functionality associated with mobile commerce and online interaction, which is especially relevant in the current conditions.
