Learn vocabulary with Wozzol - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, I am an experienced software developer.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The most challenging aspect is not to develop the app but to promote it! I think my app is great for a lot of people but they will not find it. A challenging part is how to solve bugs that are hard to reproduce.

Learning vocabulary in middle school was a disaster for me. I would spend hours studying before finally giving up and getting the same poor results regardless.

Ten years later I discovered that this personal trauma had been unnecessary. The study of efficient learning is as old as mankind itself! Learning vocabulary is much easier if you do it in the right way. With the right program, it's easy!

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

I like Windfinder. To see the graphs and colors of the wind maps. I also like to fly around the world with Google Maps.

How long have you been working on this app?

For more than 10 years now. Sometimes full time and other times I was on a break.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

I was horrible at learning vocabulary in high school. So I wanted to make an app that could make everybody good at learning vocabulary! Just use the app and work on it and you will remember the words.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Wozzol is created for a great user experience. E,g, no painful moments if you forget to enter a space or a capital letter. Wozzol will calculate for you when it is time to learn a word. So with this spaced repetition, you will learn in an efficient way.

Another thing that sets Wozzol apart is the possibility to add context sentences and the ability to add mnemonics. Because many high school kids don't have money for an app there is a good free version without ads. I think everyone has the right to learn words in an efficient way. Even if you have no money for a premium app.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

I have some excellent releases planned with better reminder messages to learn again, more insight into when you learned individual words, and some other minor improvements.

First, you have to get to know the app. Learn the facts that you want to remember. That can be vocabulary or the names of the people in your neighborhood. You can enter anything you want. Then share the app! I have a lot of free users - their task is to do the promotion of the app!
