I have been coding since I was 13 years old, and working professionally as a programmer for the last 25 years!
I think for me, the most challenging aspect was keeping the application tight and focused. There is a tendency to add too many "extra" features which users don't really want.
Kibi Hofmann has been programming professionally for 25 years and programming mobile since 2002. He is currently enjoying learning all about Machine Learning at iCarbonX
I love Waze and Moovit, which help me with my commute whether driving or taking public transport. The applications are always up to date and show only the information I need
I have only been working 6 weeks on this app, but the company has been collected the data which makes it possible for a few years by now.
This application is designed to be a fun way for users to discover more about the food they are about to eat. We hope soon, as our knowledge expands, to allow users to make wiser decisions about the food they are consuming while remaining a fun, and easy to use the product.
Our app uses our advanced machine learning model (trained over many months with over a million samples) to enable us to quickly and accurately identify many types of food from a quick camera shot. We have not seen other apps with such advanced capabilities, and we're just getting started!
The current version of the app sends pictures back to our server for identification. We are working hard on a version which will contain at least some of these capabilities on the phone itself. This would enable faster identification, less internet usage, and the ability to help users help themselves by taking better food pictures which our main servers can classify more accurately.
Please download and enjoy using the app. If you find it fun to use, please tell your friends to download and use it too! If there are problems (and version 1 always has problems!) please send me an email (my mail is mentioned on the app listing) and I will be happy to try to fix it in a future version.
About App: Guess My Food makes use of advanced Machine Learning models and tries to identify the foods you take pictures of. This application is designed to be a fun way for users to discover more about the food they are about to eat. The developer hopes soon, as their model expands, to allow users to make wiser decisions about the food they are consuming while remaining a fun, and easy-to-use product. The good thing is, their model is always improving, so if this app makes a mistake today, come back tomorrow to see if it has done better!
