Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, I have developed two more mobile apps before. But each of them was not as complicated as FlowerChecker.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

Probably the most difficult aspect was to deal with different types of mobile phone models. For example, some phones didn’t have enough operating memory to downsize the photo by common means.

I like Universe in a Nutshell.

How long have you been working on this app?

Half a year more or less. But have been improving the app since that though not that intensively.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

The app needs to do its basic functions properly. The only need is to enable the user to identify a plant, nothing else.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

FlowerChecker is the only app on the market which connects the user with a bunch of botanical experts. It makes the app the best on the market in its category.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

We don’t know yet! I mean really. Please give me some suggestions :) Anyway, two years ago, we started developing Plant.ID. A machine learning-based tool trained on the data from FlowerChecker to identify plants automatically.
