What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

Developing a soft meter to calculate taxi fares per county. The Fetch Taxi App uses Google Maps and GPS to determine where the passenger started the ride, so it can accurately determine the legally-required fare to charge.

NVOLV is a user-friendly mobile app for conferences and events. We love NVOLV because it allows conference attendees to easily engage in the event and rank up on the leaderboard while giving admins data-driven insight into how the event is going.

How long have you been working on this app?

We worked on the Fetch Taxi App for 11 months. Production began in June 2018 and ended in May 2019.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

The Founder of Fetch Taxi App had one goal in mind when developing the app - empower the taxi industry with new technology to fight back against Uber and Lyft. Uber and Lyft have been dominating the taxi industry because of their revolutionary mobile apps and incentives for passengers and drivers. Fetch Taxi App will allow taxi companies to utilize the same approach as the market leader’s to bridge the technology and advertising gap that most taxi companies face when trying to compete in today’s highly-competitive, consolidated taxi industry.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

The Fetch Taxi App is better than similar taxi apps because of its accurate soft meter and generous incentives for passengers and drivers. The built-in soft meter is extremely accurate, and the admin can easily adjust fare prices and add new service areas. Passengers and drivers have great incentives. Passengers can earn a $20 free credit for every 10 rides and become premier members to unlock additional benefits, while drivers can supplement their income and be part of the revival of the taxi industry.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

a. The Fetch Taxi app is currently piloting in San Francisco County. In 2020, The Fetch Taxi App will expand to 10 additional California Counties. The goal is to gain traction within the U.S. before spreading to an International Market. b. The Fetch Taxi App will add more incentives for passengers and drivers to make it a comparable offering to the Uber or Lyft app.
