Eqfy - Interview with the developer of a fantastic app

Did you have any prior development or coding experience?

Yes, we did few mini side-projects mainly written in C++ during the graduation in the early phase. Developing audio applications for Android OS was a different experience though. Before development, we had to learn and observe the conceptual aspects of smartphone applications and their deployment in the digital market. It took nearly 3 years to execute and develop our first two apps and launching them in the market. It was a success but overall a steady experience.

What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

Experimentation! We weren't inspired by any other projects in the same category and didn't test or use any traditional tools and elements occassionaly used in other apps. Instead we had to break some rules and always tried to mix & shake things up which generated more ideas and further dwelling into the sub-plots revealed more new stuff. Things went more complex and risky but at the same time it was very exciting chill'n thrill experience.

WiseSchematics® is the software division of ShuntCorp. WiseSchematics designs and develops digital media applications (apps) targetting portable handheld devices such as smartphones etc. Under the tag 'Shunt Technologies', WiseSchematics also innovates and specializes in user interactivity to optimize Graphic User Interfaces and implement multimedia framework as the main concept for designing mobile application projects. Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

We love Spotify. It has the largest music catalog up to date. It does provide full freedom to users. It can be integrated to third-party apps. Spotify has changed the map of music, the way its accessed and consumed. Another app that we access most is Google Play Console that is used by almost every Android Dev. Its records and stores app statistical data and allows us to manage apps in an organized way.

How long have you been working on this app?

Our recent app 'Eqfy' took just two weeks to develop and publish. Eqfy is the refined form and based on more advanced 'RE Equalizer' which we published a year ago from the date Eqfy was launched.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

Eqfy is an dedicated audio equalizer designed specifically for Spotify (android). With more than 100 million users, Spotify is the leading music streaming app on Android platform. Every Spotify user dreams mostly of one thing: to have a dedicated equalizer for their favorite app to achieve best sound from it. For this purpose, Eqfy fills in the space to act as a third-party equalizer for Spotify. Eqfy interface is also designed in familiarity with Spotify so that users feel right at home while using both apps together.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Unlike other apps, Eqfy is specifically designed for Spotify. Eqfy shares the same sound engine as RE Equalizer through which Spotify users can achieve outstanding audio results and restoring the full spectrum signal in a very short time. Dedicated connection of Eqfy to Spotify makes it perfectly stable to use for an unlimited time. Whether its a car stereo, headphones, hifi sound system or sound bar, Eqfy can perform equally best with all kind of sources, change the soundscape of Spotify music and bring it to the life.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

The next feature for Eqfy is the implementation of parametric equalizer by the help of which users will be able to tune and shape desired frequency of the audio signal and perfect the sound quality. We are also working on the cross platform to bring this app to Apple devices.
