I am a veteran software engineer primarily focused on line of business development, I have published a few other little games in the past, these were more testers along this journey to produce Emris.
Level design was by far the most challenging aspect of the development, it was particularly tricky to keep the levels balanced, fun and to keep the challenge up at hopefully just the right level
Super Meat Boy, perfectly balanced sadistic pleasure, Super Mario Run, mobile perfection (but too easy)

Arcade/SNES style of game difficulty, users who need their gaming sessions to get to the business end quickly without any protracted build up.
Emris doesn't mess around with long pointless levels, the action ramps up fantastically during the first world and really hits that sweet spot from world 2 on-wards Whilst Emris F2P I do not harass or bother the user with AD's or IAP in the first world, the first world is entirely free to give users enough time to evaluate if this is the type of game they like The level designs in Emris ensure a degree of challenge to keep players engaged, I have spent many hours designing fantastic experiences and during the beta test programs I ran I ensured to gain as much insight from the testers as possible.
I am planning 3 more worlds and potentially several unlockable characters each with their own unique play styles; Emris will additionally lead onto another title (perhaps offered as DLC but most likely a new project) focusing on what happens after this adventure completes
If you like Emris please rate, review and share it, if you have any suggestions or comments to make Emris better please let me know
About App: Emris is a tough as nails platformer where you play as a chubby, ginger, ball of fur with an eye for gold on your quest to save your furry friends and finally become a hero. Our ginger hero will leap from walls, over seas of saws, through dastardly dangerous dungeons and over pools of bubbling slime. Sacrificing his own well being to collect the gold and save his friends. Emris brings the old school difficulty of classic NES titles and stream lines them down to the essential no BS straight forward twitch reflex platforming. Ramping up in difficulty from hard to soul crushing Emris will drag our ginger hero though forests with cutesy critters, dungeons designed by a madman and mansions who's interior designer is clearly sadistic.
