No. The founder of DoFasting - Christine Ellis is just a nutritionist. A skilled one, but that doesn't magically grant her the superpower of coding. So to create the DoFasting app, she partnered with a team of coders and made her dream of creating a professional fasting app a reality.
Christine was one of the countries top nutritionists, but she did not have any prior experience of managing a team of people working to create an app. It was hard in the beginning. But in the end, the positive feedback from the community of our fasters makes it all worth it. The main goal, both the developers and Christine agreed, was to create an app that even a person without any prior knowledge about intermittent fasting could use but is still useful even to experienced fasters. That's why the app is so user-friendly, but at the same time full of utility.
Productivity apps are what I appreciate the most. Here are two of my favorite ones. Google Drive - access to work files even on the go. Saved numerous presentations by allowing to make last-minute changes. My second favorite is Slack. Communication between colleagues was way different back when Slack wasn't around. Does anyone remember those times?
The app launched in June, but we've been working on it for the better part of the year before, even.
There are two things holding back people from doing intermittent fasting. That's the lack of knowledge and the abundance of misconceptions. The DoFasting app was made to fight the misconceptions and show people that intermittent fasting can be done by almost anyone.
In short, without the complicated lingo: It brings the latest nutritional and fasting research to the public. All the meal and exercise plans are constantly being reviewed by Christine so that it's up to date, and we're constantly adding new fasting types. It receives major updates frequently, and our team is doing a really good job of keeping up with the industry trends.
It's a secret, but we're planning on doing a major design and interface overhaul in the near future, it's almost ready! A new way to interact with meals, brand new workouts, new fasting types, and much more!
If you like the app, make sure to spread the knowledge with your friends. And remember that if you ever have any questions or suggestions, make sure to contact us at [email protected]!
About App: DoFasting is more than just a diet and fitness app. It’s your personal intermittent fasting assistant. While other apps offer just a timer and a progress tracker, the DoFasting app covers all areas that make intermittent fasting successful: from workouts to meals that meet your daily calorie intake. The main features are: - Meal recommendations for any diet (including vegan & vegetarian!) that are tailored to your nutrition needs and calorie intake - Various intermittent fasting types. Find out which one works best for your personal routine! - A notification setup. Reminders that help you to stay on track at all times. - Workouts visualized by professional trainers. - Daily motivation boosts. Dialogue windows that will guide you through your fasting routine to make it easy and smooth. - Constantly updated articles on fasting-related topics. - A progress tracker. The company is working on a major app uplift and from what I heard it should be a number one must-have weight loss app in 2020
