What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?

The hardest part of developing a mobile app is building it in a way which it is easy-to-use for non-tech savvy users.

DataByte is a leading software company in Malta that is geared to give you the competitive edge in today’s business world. We specialise in creating Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions which allow for better management of Human Resources, Fleet and Warehouse space.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.

Toggl and Microsoft Teams are two apps which we love because they help keep our teams organised, and allow for them to keep in touch and collaborate on their work.

How long have you been working on this app?

The app took a few months to build, but the technology behind the app has been in development for several years now.

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

The main objective of this app is to put all the relevant functionality and information into the palms of the hands of employees’ whose company are using the DataByte WorkForce HR Suite. In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Companion apps for HR systems are all unique because of the different features that they provide. The WorkForce app has a very clean and simple UI that allows for users to access all of the available features easily.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

Increase functionality in the leave module for managers to be able to handle approvals - Improve notifications and communications for employees to communicate between themselves - Live alters for admins about product updates - Additional layers of tech for punch in/out - Integrating the app with our platform API to make it more flexible - Built-in user feedback system. All of these features have already been planned, and will be coming soon.
